At Dreams End is an experimental post-industrial band out of Idaho Falls, ID. With only two full time members, they attack writing full band compositions from an electronic producers standpoint, combining all of their many talents and styles to create a cohesive song that rips faces off, but makes you wanna dance at the same time. I caught up with Jade Davis about their upcoming show.

SLG: Describe your genre of music in as much detail as you like. Maybe list your three best crowd-pleasing songs? Can you explain in what way do you most appeal to your fans?

JD: Together Dirty and I have been able to create a sound and style that is completely different from anything our musical backgrounds would imply, yet at the same time using those very backgrounds to design something completely independent unto itself. It's industrial, it's dance, it's post-hardcore, it's acoustic... it's just... At Dreams End.

So far our best recieved song has been a cover we did of Roxette's "The Look" which can be downloaded for FREE!!!
at www.atdreamsend.com

SLG: Band member names / instruments. How long has this line-up been together?

JD: There is only two of us in the band. Me (Jade Davis) - LEAD GUITAR, PIANO, BASS, DRUMS, LYRICS, BACKING VOX, SCREAMS, PROGRAMING
and Dirty - ACOUSITC GUITAR, VOCALS, DRUMS, PIANO, BASS, LYRICS, PROGRAMING

SLG: Tell us where you're from and currently based in what town?

JD: I'm from Idaho Falls, ID and Dirty is from Great Falls, MT.....we both live in Idaho Falls, ID.

SLG: Past shows or venues you'd like to brag about? Past or future shows in the Pocatello area?

JD: We're a fairly new band so we haven't played that many shows yet but we do have one in Pocatello, ID on May 9th at The Icon with I am the Ocean, Loom, and Abrupt Edge.

Just because we're a new band to the area doesn't mean we're new to the music scene. Dirty has been a part of some folk acts up in MT, and I have been a signed artist twice and have done many national tours including The Warped Tour.

SLG: Describe this particular show(s) ... date, times, place opening acts? headline acts? time you hit the stage? what can ppl expect if they come to this show? All ages or 21+? Ticket prices or cover charge?

JD: This show coming up on May 9th will be pretty good. We will be opening for I am the Ocean from Salt Lake City....other acts on the bill include.... Loom (Salt Lake City) and Abrupt Edge (Boise, ID). The doors open at 6:30p. Show starts at 7p. Its an all ages show and tickets are $10 in adv. and you can get tickets directly from us....just contact us on our myspace page www.myspace.com/atdreamsend

SLG: Any comments about the local live music scene, the music industry in general? What do you think is the best way to get your music out there?

JD: The music industry is a hard industry to be in.....after being signed twice myself....I have a great appreciation for any band that can stay together and "Make It." As far as our local music scene goes...I would like to see a greater unity form between all the bands in the area...the harder we all work together the better the scene will be for all of us.

Having the internet has really opened up a lot of doors for the unsigned artist out there....especially Myspace. Before that it was so much harder to book shows or even get your music heard. So I'd have to say that is the best way to get your band heard is with Myspace, Facebook, Purevolume, Reverb Nation, Ourstage.com, ect....the list goes on and on.....you will get out just as much as you put in.

SLG: Do you have any videos on YouTube? If so, what is the url?

We don't have any videos up yet but after this next show we plan on uploading some....and you'll be able to view that on our myspace page.... www.myspace.com/atdreamsend

SLG: Recordings? Will you have CD's or more for sale at the show?

JD: We are currently working on our Album "The Nightmare Begins" which we are planning to have done by mid to late summer....if everything goes to plan. Once its done it will be available for purchase of the web and possibly in some local CD stores in the area.

SLG: How can fans contact you? Myspace? or another website?

JD: Fans can contact us directly on our Myspace, Facebook, Purevolume, or Ourstage.com....we are on those pages all the time and try and answer every email/comment we get.
