Allison Sattinger is making her debut Pocatello performance next weekend. I caught up with Allison to find out about her music, her background and this upcoming show.

SLG: Describe your genre of music? What are your three best crowd-pleasing songs? Can you explain in what way do you most appeal to your fans?

AS: Matt, Phil and I play a combination of folk, Americana, blues and jazz, in no particular order. People say they feel better after one of our shows; that's the general feedback we get, a sense of healing, which is a very nice compliment.

SLG: Who's in the band and how long has this line-up been together?

AS: We've been playing together for three years now.
Allison Sattinger/Piano-vocals
Matt Coleman/ guitar-vocals
Phil Mielke/ bass -vocals

SLG: Tell us where you're from and currently based in what town?

AS: I am from Pittsburgh, PA and currently based in beautiful Petaluma, CA.

SLG: Past shows or venues you'd like to brag about? Past or future shows in the Pocatello area?

AS: House of Blues, Sunset Strip earlier in May this year. The sound system alone was amazing. I also had a great opportunity to sing the National Anthem at an Orlando Magic / Chicago Bulls game a few years back! This is our first time in Pocatello.

SLG: Describe this particular show - what can ppl expect if they come to this show?

AS: We're playing at Portneuf Valley Brewing on May 23rd at 8:30 PM. It's located at 615 1st Avenue. People can expect to be happier than when they first arrived!

SLG: Any comments about the local live music scene, the music industry in general? What do you think is the best way to get your music out there?

AS: Grassroots all the way, but as with anything in life it depends on what you're doing it for.

SLG: Do you have any videos on YouTube? If so, what is the url?

AS: www.youtube.com/allisonsattinger

SLG: Recordings? Will you have CD's or more for sale at the show?

AS: Yes, we will all have cds, indeed! [Also available at CD Baby. -SLG]

SLG: How can fans contact you? Myspace? or another website?

AS: Myspace is best - www.myspace.com/allisonsattinger
