For the fourth year running, Bluegrass on the Greenbelt will be held again this summer on Saturday June 27th, 2009. It is an all-day outdoor bluegrass music festival that is free to the public.

Free admission is possible through the generosity of corporate sponsors ANNA Inc., Portage Environmental, the Post Register, and Falls Printing, as well as a grant from the Idaho Commission on the Arts.

The festival will run from 1:00 to 9:00PM at South Capital Park, a nice shady grassy area along the east bank of the Snake River, immediately south of the Art Museum of Eastern Idaho (formerly Eagle Rock Art Museum).

The festival also serves as a fundraiser for the Strings for Kids program, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping children of low-income families learn to play musical instruments (www.stringsforkids.org).

Food, refreshments and ice cream will be available for sale; and for youngsters, there is a playground nearby.
